Fire Permit Application

Open air burning in the Township of Uxbridge is regulated through the Fire By-law.  Before burning, you must have an approved permit and call the Fire Department's 'Burn Line' at 905-852-9038 in order to get permission to start an open air burn.

The Fire Permit is valid until the end of the calendar year in which it is issued. 

Oversized Fire Permits can be obtained by calling 905-852-3393 or by visitng the Fire Department located at 301 Brock Street West.

A 3 percent service fee is included on all transactions.

A transaction fee of $0.20 is charged to all transactions.

Recreational
Shall not exceed .75 metres in diameter at any time.  Shall not be less than nine (9) metres distance from any property lines, building, structure, hedge, fence, vehicular roadway or from overhead wiring.  Two (2) persons shall be in attendance at all times.  Materials permitted to be burned:  Wood, twigs or charcoal.

Open Air
Shall not exceed 1.5 metres in dieameter at any time.  Shall not be less than 15 (fifteen) metres distance from any property lines, building, structure, hedge, fence, vehicular roadway of any kind or from overhead wiring.  Two (2) persons shall be in attendance at all times.  Materials permitted to be burned:  Yard waste, wood, and brush.  Must be extinguished before sunset.

 

Your permit is not valid until approved by the Fire Department. You will receive an email within 48 hours of submission of this permit application form indicating whether or not your permit application has been approved.

Prior to burning the applicant shall confirm burning is permitted each day of burning by calling 905-852-9038.
