Tree and Bench Dedication Program

Looking for a way to honour the memory of a loved one?  The Township of Uxbridge offers a Tree and Bench Dedication as a way to commemorate them.

Tree Dedications:  

The Township of Uxbridge can plant and maintain a 50-60 mm tree.  Spring trees must be ordered before March 31st, and Fall trees must be ordered before September 15th.

Spring tree options include different kinds of Oak, Walnut, Butternut, Birch, as well as Black Willow, Horse Chesnut, Silver Maple, White Spruce, and White Pine.  Trees that can be planted in the Spring and Fall include Sugar or Red Maple, Japanese Lilac, and Little Leaf Linden.

The cost of dedicating a tree is $1,000.00.  This includes a standard-sized dedication plaque.  Please allow for a 3-month installation window.

Bench Dedications:

The standard bench is constructed of enameled steel with seat and back rest and is anchored on a concrete pad.  An inscription plaque is located in the center of the backrest.  Benches cost $3,500.00.  The image below depicts the standard bench design.

Parks Staff will work with the contributor to determine a suitable and appropriate location.  Please allow for a 3-month installation window.  Below, please choose the location(s) you would like to have considered for your tree or bench dedication:

Please outline specific plaque inscriptions below.  Plaque inscriptions are maximum of four (4) lines with twenty (20) characters per line.
